Lead Carpenter

In this active position, you will assist in the restoration of structures that have experienced damage due to water, fire, smoke, vehicle impact, or other miscellaneous unexpected losses.  Job functions include emergency board ups, demolition of damaged structures, rebuilding/repairing of structures to include finish trades, and assisting other departments as needed.

Lead Carpenters fabricate and install wooden structures and also coordinate less experienced workers. They should have multiple years of field experience and skills such as carpentry expertise, practical skills, physical strength, leadership, time management, customer service, and attention to safety.

Lead carpenter needs to be highly skilled at their craft, able to provide guidance and supervision to the project team involved in construction projects. The lead carpenter’s responsibilities include assigning and explaining tasks to the project team, responding to clients’ requests for emergency repairs, and regularly inspecting work done by the project team to ensure that it conforms to certain specifications. You should also be able to help the Project Manager solve project-related problems.
